Several Charges Filed Against Teen Driver

The following arrest information was supplied by the Southbury Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

George Jones, 18, of Waterbury, was charged with misuse of marker plates, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, insufficient insurance and operating a motor vehicle without a license on April 11 at approximately 9:31 p.m.

According to police, Jones was observed traveling on Interstate 84 east near exit 15 in Southbury with improperly placed license plates. A traffic stop determined the plates were registered to a different vehicle and Jones only had an adult license permit and the vehicle he was operating was unregistered and uninsured.

Jones was released on promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 1.

Jason Danka, 36, of Monroe, was charged with disorderly conduct following a dispute on Lakemere Drive in Southbury on April 13 at approximately 7:35 a.m.

Danka was released on $1,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on April 15.
