Southbury Announces New Summer Schedule

Beginning next month the Town of Southbury will work on a new summer schedule for town buildings and offices, the First Selectman’s Office announced Thursday.

Starting July 8 Town Hall offices will be open on the following schedule:

Monday: 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Tuesday: 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Thursday: 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.

The Highway Department and Public Works office will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday.

Parks and Recreation Offices will maintain their regular work hours, 8:30 a.m, to 4:30 p.m., until the end of summer camp on August 9 and will begin summer hours the next Monday, August 12.

The Probate Court and the Registrars’ Office will maintain their usual hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The Southbury Library will also maintain their usual hours, however, the library will be closed Sundays during July and August.

“The public is encouraged to share their opinions and comments on the new hours by contacting the First Selectman’s office at 203-262-0647 or via e-mail at select2@southbury-ct.gov,” said a release from the town. “We will continue to evaluate how best to provide convenient service to our customers - the residents and taxpayers of Southbury.”
