Southbury Police Department Swears In New Deputy Chief

Please join us in welcoming Southbury’s first Deputy Chief of Police, Steven Cifone. Deputy Chief Cifone brings fourteen years of law enforcement experience to Southbury, most recently serving with the Southington Police Department as lieutenant. The deputy police chief position was created to meet the needs of Southbury’s December 1st transition from the current Resident Trooper Program to our own independent police department.

Deputy Chief Cifone was sworn in by First Selectman Manville at the November 7th Board of Selectmen meeting. He will join Police Chief Chris Grillo in leading Southbury’s first independent police department.
