Southbury Police Investigate Credit Card Theft, Shoplifting
Credit card stolen and used at Southbury businesses; shoplifters flee the scene at ShopRite.

An employee at the Pomperaug Office Park in Southbury reported to police that his credit cards were stolen and fraudulent charges had been made on May 24 at approximately 1:39 p.m.
According to police, the victim had two credit cards taken out of their wallet and one of the cards were used to make purchases at Southbury businesses, one at K-Mart for $319.04 and another at TJ Maxx for $148.85.

Southbury police responded to a report of shoplifting at ShopRite Supermarket, 775 Main Street South in Southbury, on June 5 at approximately 5:25 p.m.
According to police, the individuals who were confronted by store security for shoplifting were able to flee the scene.
