Southbury Resident and Land Use Commissioner to Run for First Selectman
Jeff Manville will announce his candidacy tonight, and is so far the only Republican to announce their run.

Jeff Manville, 56, who is a lifelong Southbury resident who grew up on his family farm, and who also served for the past 18 years as land use commissioner, will announce his candidacy to run for first selectman tonight, the Republican-American reported.
A formal announcement will be held at the Southbury Green Shopping Plaza, 775 Main St. South, at 6:30 p.m., the Rep-Am reported. Manville is the only Republican candidate to announce their run for this position.
Manville has volunteered in the community since 1980, when he joined the Southbury Volunteer Firemen’s Association, serving as a firefighter until 1998, the Rep-Am reported.
