Southbury Resident - Watertown Teacher Charged With Sexual Assault

Southbury resident Stanley Mikrut was arrested on Oct. 7 and charged with sexual assault.

According to an article in the Republican American, Mikrut was charged with inappropriately touching two Watertown High School students between November 2015 and June 2016.

Mikrut, 61, has been a Watertown High School teacher for 15 years. He was released on a $25,000 bond and is due to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 18.
