News release from CTDOT.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that Wrong Way Driver Retesting and Recertification of System will be performed on I-84 Eastbound, Exit 16 in Southbury. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, January 13, 2025.The project 0170-3638 consists of testing and recertifying the wrong way driver system on I-84 Eastbound at Exit 16.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

I-84 Eastbound, Exit 16 Ramp in Southbury will be closed on Monday, January 13, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Traffic will be detoured to Exit 17, take a left off the ramp (Route 63), take a left onto I-84 Westbound, get off of Exit 16 Westbound. Traffic control signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
