Report: New Sewer and Water Rates Set for Heritage Village Residents

New sewer and water rates for customers of Heritage Village Water Co. aren’t as high as the company first proposed, according to the Republican-American. Year one is safe from increases, but year two can expect a 3.8 percent increase, as approved by regulators.

Heritage Village Water Co. had previously proposed a 5.07 percent increase when it filed for the rate hike back in November, the Rep-Am reported.

The updated rates were proposed by the company and approved by the public Utilities Regulatory Authority after numerous customers complained at hearings and in writing that the fee was too high, according to the Rep-Am.
