Trailer, Lawn Mower Stolen; Pot Possession

The following arrest information was supplied by the Southbury Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A trailer and a lawn mower were reported stolen from behind a business on 1455 Southford Rd. in Southbury.

According to police, the trailer and lawn mower were stolen sometime between 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16.

George Powers, 50, of Southbury, was charged with second-degree breach of peace on Friday, Oct. 12 at approximately 12:42 p.m.

According to police, Powers turned himself in to police after learning of a warrant for his arrest. The arrest warrant stemmed from an investigation into an incident that occurred on Aug. 10.

Powers was released on a written promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 24.

Reaghan Malloy, 28, of Southbury was charged with possession of less than 5 oz. of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to respond to a violation after she turned herself in to Newtown Police on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at approximately 12:36 p.m.

According to police, Malloy’s charges stem from a warrant issued for an incident that occurred on May 19, 2012. Malloy was released on $286 bond and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Oct. 23.
