Huge Italian Festival To Take Over Southington
The 2025 Southington Italian-American Festival starts Friday, July 25, and continues to Sunday, July 27.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — If you're hungry this weekend, there's an annual festival in Southington that will most definitely appease the need.
If you're hungry for good eats, good music, and a good time, the Southington Italian-American Festival is where you need to be from Friday, July 25, to Sunday, July 27.
It is hosted by three Italian non-profit service organizations in Southington: the Sons of Italy, which is celebrating its 115th anniversary this year, the UNICO Club of Southington, and the Sorelle d'Italia in America.

The 20th annual celebration will transform Lower Center Street in Southington into a celebration of Italian-American culture.
It will feature vendor booths, live entertainment, children's activities with games, and an absurd amount of stomach-filling culinary options.

Classic festival staples include fried dough, pizza, sausage and pepper sandwiches, gelato, and pasta fagioli. Other foods include Italian pastries, sofrito, burgers, hot dogs, and fries.
Dig in.
Perhaps the highlight of the event is Friday, July 25, at 9 p.m., when the skies above the festival are slated to be filled with the oohs and ahs of fireworks.
Should Mother Nature not cooperate, the rain date for the fireworks is Saturday night, July 26, at the same time and place.
As far as the complete festival (which happens to be free as well), the schedule is as follows:
• Friday, July 25, from 5 to 10:30 p.m. (opening ceremonies are at 6 p.m.)
• Saturday, July 26, from 1 to 10:30 p.m.
• Sunday, July 27, from noon to 5 p.m.
