Southington Artists Eligible For Foundation Funding
Applicants are being sought this month for a Bristol-based foundation grant earmarked to help working artists in the community.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — If you have art in your blood and you're looking for some financial help, a regional foundation that also serves Southington might have something for you.
The Bristol-based Main Street Community Foundation is now accepting applications for grants from the Louise Lauretano DeMars Love of Art Fund.

Grants are available to support Bristol-area artists to help further their creativity, explore their talent, or expand their learning.
Grant awards will range from $1,000 to $5,000 and will be made to individual artists who have resided in the towns of Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington, and Wolcott for a minimum of two years.

Grant applications are due Oct. 31 at 4 p/m.
The Louise Lauretano DeMars Love of Art Fund was established through a bequest from Louise’s estate after she passed away on Jan. 9, 2023.
Her contributions to the museum industry as well as the arts and culture community were expansive.
The foundation will be accepting applications for proposals limited to fine arts and graphic arts.
The Main Street Community Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington, and Wolcott.
