All are welcome to ring in Christmas at First Church Congregational of Fairfield during its two Christmas Eve worship services. At 4 p.m. join the children of the church for an interactive Christmas pageant. At 10 p.m. the church sanctuary will be filled with candlelight for a traditional Lessons &amp; Carols service featuring the church's Chancel Choir and musical guests. These inspiring services are open to friends, family and neighbors interested in finding a meaningful way to worship this Christmas Eve.

Join us for a festive morning at beautiful Waveny Park
as we run and walk through the scenic trails in full Christmas spirit! Kids can enjoy our Santa Dash right in front of the historic Waveny Mansion, and adults can choose between the 5K or the one-mile walk.
We typically welcome 250–300 participants, making this a lively and community-filled holiday tradition.
🎁 Running for a Cause 
All proceeds help fund the food supplies for our 100,000-meal food packing event with Feed My Starving Children on March 7, 2026 at New Canaan High School.

Santa Run - 5k, Mile Walk, Santa Dash for kids 8 & under

This legislative update and community conversation will bring together State Senator Tony Hwang, State Representative Tony Scott (ranking leader on General Assembly Housing Committee), and leaders from CT-169 Strong to discuss how pending and proposed residential developments are reshaping Fairfield’s neighborhoods and what may come next under the recently passed statewide housing bill, H.B. 8002.
Speakers will address the cumulative impact of increased housing density on everyday quality of life and core town systems, including traffic flow and congestion, road and pedestrian safety, school capacity, utilities, public safety services, and other critical infrastructure. The program will also explore the broader implications for neighborhood character, environmental pressures, and long-term municipal planning.
The discussion will explain how long-standing state housing statutes such as 8-30g intersect with H.B. 8002, and how these policies can shift key land-use decisions away from local boards and residents. Panelists will outline how development pressures are likely to evolve in the coming years, what residents should watch for, and where public input can make a difference.
Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of what these changes mean for Fairfield as a whole, and how residents and local leaders can engage constructively in shaping Fairfield’s future.

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Westport

Please join us for our special candelight service celebrating the season on this Christmas Eve: carols, readings, choral offerings, reflections, candlelight. A time to come together in joy and community. All ages welcome; plenty of free parking and accessible to all.&nbsp;
+++ And all are always welcome to our Unitarian Universalist services at UU Westport, offered each Sunday at 10 AM, both in person and <a href="https://uuwestport.org/livestream/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">live-streamed online</a>. Services usually include a time of reflection/prayer/meditation; wonderful music; readings; and a homily or sermon to lend insight into our world and how we interact with it and with each other. The <a href="https://uuwestport.org/mission-statement/about-our-ministers-2/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Rev. Carlton E. Smith</a> presides over our time together that includes participation from multiple congregants, guests, and friends. Music Director <a href="https://uuwestport.org/music-program/our-minister-of-music/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Micah Krajca</a> leads our choirs. Separate children's programming and nursery care is available during the service, 10-11:15AM. Dress code is as you feel comfortable.
