Department officials said his work has directly improved car seat usage rates and has already saved lives, including that of a child who was uninjured in a serious crash because of a seat installed by Forman’s team.
Beyond his work with the safety program, Forman has been serving temporarily as the Northern District Deputy Chief’s aide and is known for mentoring newer firefighters, sharing expertise and encouraging professional development within the department.
Away from work, Forman is a husband, father of three, Little League baseball coach and New York Mets fan.
