Bomb Threat Prompts Evacuation of Another Stamford School

The school in downtown Stamford was evacuated Wednesday afternoon.

Another Stamford school was evacuated after receiving a telephone bomb threat on Wednesday afternoon.

The threat made to Stamford Academy about 1:30 p.m. comes about 24 hours after Stamford High School was evacuated after receiving a similar threat, according to The Advocate. The charter school located on on North Street has about 150 students, according to its website.

On Tuesday, Stamford High was one of five schools around Connecticut to receive telephone threats, according to authorities.

Police believe calls threatening explosions and shootings at Stamford High, West Haven High School, Capitol Preparatory Magnet School in Hartford, and Central High School and South Side Elementary in Bristol.
