A telephone bomb threat has prompted the evacuation of Stamford High School.
The Strawberry Hill Avenue campus was ordered emptied by authorities after the call was received shortly before 1 p.m. Tuesday, according to The Advocate.

Because the incident occurred close to dismissal time, all students were dismissed early and buses brought in to transport them.

A threatening phone call reportedly has prompted the Tuesday afternoon evacuation of Stamford High School.
Stamford Police tell The Advocate that a threatening phone call was received by the central office shortly before 1 p.m.
The department’s bomb squad is on the scene and students will be boarding buses instead of waiting in the cold.
