Free Youth Mental Health First Aid Training Sessions Offered In Stamford This Fall
The training teaches participants how to recognize and address signs of mental health and substance use concerns in youth.

STAMFORD, Conn. — The Stamford Youth Mental Health Alliance will offer two free youth mental health first aid training courses in November and December to help parents, educators, coaches and other adults learn how to support young people facing mental health challenges.
The full-day sessions will take place Tuesday, Nov. 11, and Friday, Dec. 5, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Park 215, located at 215 Stillwater Ave. in Stamford. Space is limited, and lunch will be provided. Registration is available by email at youthmentalhealthct@gmail.com.
The training teaches participants how to recognize and address signs of mental health and substance use concerns in youth. Research shows that starting these conversations early increases the likelihood that a young person will reach out for help.
