Heat Advisory In Effect In Stamford

STAMFORD, CT — With high temperatures and humidity hitting the area, a heat advisory in effect in Stamford.

The Stamford Government Center can be used as a cooling center from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Masks are required.

Be Prepared for the Extreme Heat Conditions

• Increase fluid intake regardless of activity level
• Remain indoors in an air conditioned setting when possible
• Wear lightweight, light-colored, loose-fitting clothing
• Limit outdoor activity and exercise
• Apply "UVA/UVB protection" sunscreen
