INTEMPO Awards Full Scholarships To 20 Stamford Music Students

STAMFORD, CT — INTEMPO, a Stamford-based nonprofit that provides high-quality music education to youth, has awarded full-tuition scholarships to 20 students for the 2025–26 academic year, made possible through the support of 20 Scholarship Circle donors.

The students were recognized during a ceremony on Oct. 10 at the Harry Bennett Branch Library, where they met their sponsors.

The scholarships cover not only music lessons but also instruments, audition coaching, performance opportunities, literacy tutoring, homework help, college readiness workshops and paid internships.

"Our students are the best part of INTEMPO," said CEO Lou Chen in a news release. "They bring passion, joy, and commitment to all their activities here. Although our tuition is already highly subsidized, these scholarships will eliminate all financial barriers to accessing the varied forms of support that we provide."
