Masked Gunmen Invade Stamford Home
A North Stamford resident was tied up by a pair of masked men.
STAMFORD, CT - Stamford Police are investigating the invasion of a North Stamford home by a pair of masked men, one of whom brandished a handgun.
Police Capt. Richard Conklin said it was about 1 a.m. Monday when the duo entered an Alma Rock Road home through an unlocked rear door. A resident of the home, described as a man in his 20s, was confronted by the men who "questioned him, tied him up, stuffed a t-shirt in his mouth and then thought they may have had the wrong address and left," Conklin said.
The men questioned the victim about a restaurant owned by the family.

The men, described as being white, possibly Hispanic, were wearing dark-colored clothing including dark ski masks. One man brandished what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun, the other was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, according to Conklin
"Nobody was injured and nothing was taken," Conklin also said.
Conklin said, "Most home invasions are not random. They're a very rare occurrence. They usually happen when there is a business owner and they think they may have receipts from the business, or jewelry, or there is something nefarious like narcotics."
The victim's sister also was at home. She was upstairs and unaware of what was occurring. However, she was able to give police a description the car the gunmen were believed to have been driving.
It was described as a silver Audi, from the late 1990s or early 2000, Conklin said.
