Helen (Cockoros) Caporizzo, age 89, of Stamford, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 29, 2016.
Helen was born in the Town of Goranoi Sparta in Greece on September 2, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Piccoli) Cockoros.
She was an employee of Olin Corporation for over 20 years.
Helen is survived by her three children, Elaine Caporizzo Melillo, Richard Caporizzo and Diane Caporizzo; her four grandchildren who she loved and cherished, Carmen Melillo, Jessica Milsom, Dominic Melillo and Carly Melillo, her son-in-law Paul Melillo along with many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband James Caporizzo.
Family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, March 6 from 2pm to 5pm at the Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Ave., in Stamford. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 7 at 11 am at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 1230 Newfield Avenue, in Stamford. Interment will follow at the St. John's Cemetery in Darien.
