In Memoriam: John A. Maul

The Stamford resident passed away Feb. 7 at the age of 95.

John A. Maul entered into eternal rest on February 7, 2016 in Brighton Gardens, an assisted living facility in Stamford. He was 95.

He was born on December 28,1920 in Elizabeth, NJ to John and Katherine Maul.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary, and siblings, Karl Weber, Lawrence Maul, Marge McDonald and Lillian Buchan.

He graduated from J. M. Wright Technical High School and served with pride in the United States Navy on the U.S.S. Satyr in both Mediterranean and Pacific theaters attaining the rank of Machinist Mate First Class. He was employed at the Connecticut Transit and in later years at the Pitney Bowes Corporation, both in Stamford.

He is survived by his sons, Michael of Stamford and Timothy and his wife Kathleen of New York City, in addition to his sister Anne Gagliardi of Spring Hill, FL.

Funeral services will be held privately.
