He was the founder of Roger Arnow Excavating in 1957, and took pride in the fact that he helped build up Stamford from a small country town to the city it is today. He was devoted to his work, and spent the winters counting snowflakes waiting to get the plows out to clear the city roads. His family, friends, and his work were the most important things to him. Roger was truly larger than life and left an indelible mark on everyone he met. His unforgettable personality and humor will be missed by many.
Roger is survived by his loving sons, Roger W. “Willie” Arnow Jr. and his wife Marylee, Kenneth I. Arnow and his wife Lynn, all of Stamford; his brother Alan Arnow and his wife Joan of Fairfield, as well as five grandchildren, Pamela, Michael, William, Amy (Andrew), and Morgan. He also leaves behind his longtime companion Joanne Lockwood.
