In Memoriam: Tamara 'Tammy' E. Zorrilla
The long-time Stamford resident passed away Feb. 12 at the age of 68.

Tamara ‘Tammy’ E. Zorrilla, longtime resident of Stamford, entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 12, 2016. She was 68 years old.
Tamara was born in Caracas, Venezuela on March 24, 1947 to Katherine Vidal and Acacio Zorrilla.

Tamara lived in Venezuela, Queens, NY and most of her adult life in Stamford. She worked for Capital Records and Nexxus Technologies in Stamford, where she made many dear friends, before retiring in 2004.
She is survived and will be missed dearly by her son Rory Amaya, his wife, Luz, her grandchildren; Rory “RJ”, Ryan, Matthew and Michelle, who loved her very much, along with her former spouse Juan Orlando Amaya in Venezuela, her mother Katherine Vidal, aunt Carmen Perimenis, uncle Arturo Vidal, many cousins and extended family members here in the states, and also in Venezuela.

Tamara loved her family dearly and spending quality time with her grandchildren. She also had a deep passion for music, dancing, and cooking her delicious native Venezuelan cuisine.
Tamara’s family will be receiving the sympathy and condolences of friends and family on Thursday, February 18, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Ave., Stamford.
In lieu of flowers, private donations can be appreciatively made to the family.
