Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Crash With Vehicle: Stamford Police

Police closed an intersection in Stamford for nearly four hours as they conducted an investigation.

STAMFORD, CT — A motorcyclist suffered serious and possibly life-threatening injuries in a crash with a vehicle Thursday night in Stamford, according to police.

The crash occurred at approximately 8:42 p.m. when a 2019 KTM 390 motorcycle traveling northbound on Greenwich Avenue collided with a 2019 Mercedes-Benz at the intersection with South State Street, police said in a news release.

The operator of the motorcycle, a 26-year-old Stamford resident, was thrown from the motorcycle and transported to Stamford Hospital, police said. The driver of the Mercedes, 37, of Norwalk, was not injured in the collision.
