Obituary: Audrey A. Lexander, 95, Of Stamford

Audrey A. Lexander a resident of Stamford CT, passed away on Tuesday May 7, 2024. She was born in New York City, NY on November 3, 1928 to the late Ivar Lexander and Bernadette Huneke Lexander. She was 95 years old.

Audrey graduated from high school and then began her career as Executive Assistant for Chesebrough-Pond's USA, Inc. in Greenwich, CT. She was also active in the Over Sixty Club Senior citizen center in Stamford. Audrey was a devout Catholic and was a longtime parishioner of St. John Church in Darien, CT. Even when she was not able to make it to mass the last few years, she always looked forward to her weekly communion that was graciously brought to her in her home. In her spare time, Audrey enjoyed reading.

In addition to her friends and neighbors, Audrey is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her dedicated caretaker Lolly who remembers Audrey as a very loving and caring person who will be missed by all.

A visitation will be held at Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Rd., Darien, CT 06820 on Friday May 17, 2024 from 8:45 AM to 9:45 AM. Mass will follow at 10:00 AM at St. John Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien, CT 06820. Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John Church.
