STAMFORD, CT — A person was struck by a train late Friday in Stamford near the Springdale Station, according to Metro-North.
The New Canaan Branch service was temporarily suspended after a person was struck by a train near Springdale, Metro-North posted on the social media platform X.
"We are attempting to arrange substitute bus service, but until buses are secured and on scene, please seek alternate means of transportation," Metro-North posted late Friday, while noting that service resumed about three hours later.
