UPDATE: Police Say Marriott Shooting is Apparent Suicide
The man reportedly was shot Tuesday afternoon.

A Connecticut man who reportedly checked into the Marriott Hotel on Tuesday apparently shot and killed himself in the hotel parking garage later that day.
The Advocate reports that hotel security found the victim next to his car that was parked on the third floor of the hotel’s parking garage about 2:40 p.m. Tuesday.
Police told the newspaper that the gunshot wound appeared to be self-inflicted and was being investigated as a suicide. The victim was described as a Connecticut man in his 30s, according to The Advocate story that can be found here.

STAMFORD, CT - Stamford Police are investigating the shooting of a man at the Stamford Marriott Hotel parking garage mid-afternoon Tuesday.
Police reportedly have shut down the hotel parking garage where the shooting occurred on the third-level about 2:45 p.m., according to The Advocate.
