Private Island Sells For $7 Million In Stamford

STAMFORD, CT — Caritas Island, a 3.5-acre private island off the coast of Stamford, sold on Oct. 17 for $7 million, according to Zillow.
The property was listed as "pending sale" for $7,495,000 on May 28. Joseph Barbieri of Sotheby's International Realty was the listing agent.
Located at 140 Wallacks Drive through a gated causeway, the property features a stone main house (circa 1909) with 12 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. Additionally, there is a three-bedroom stone guest cottage (circa 1870) and a six-car detached garage with apartments above, the listing description notes.

A 200-foot pier with a 13-foot draft can accommodate a 75 to 150-foot boat. Other property amenities include a greenhouse, pond, beach and natural swimming cove.
Zillow's records show the property has been listed for sale on and off several times over the last few years.
