Public Workshop Scheduled On West Main Street Corridor Redesign
Stamford is seeking to redesign the West Main Street corridor to improve safety, accessibility and mobility for all.

STAMFORD, CT — The city of Stamford is looking to redesign the West Main Street corridor to improve safety, accessibility and mobility for all, and a public workshop has been scheduled for the community.
An open house, public workshop event will take place at the Yerwood Center, 90 Fairfield Ave., on Saturday, Sept. 20. The presentation will begin at 11 a.m.
According to Mayor Caroline Simmons, improvements being considered for the corridor include safer crosswalks with shorter crossing distances, new or improved sidewalks and bike lanes, intersection and traffic signal upgrades, and enhanced bus stops.
