In a statement released Friday, Mayor David Martin said, “I want to make access to beach stickers as easy as possible. The majority of Stamford residents can now purchase them online.” He added, “This is still in pilot phase, but we are hoping to save many people a trip to the Government Center if all they need to do is purchase a regular beach sticker.”
For those who wish to purchase discounted beach stickers or have a car that is not registered in Stamford, beach stickers must still be purchased in person at Cashiering and Permitting Department that’s located in the lobby of the Government Center, 888 Washington Blvd., or via mail. To purchase a beach sticker through the mail, send a copy of your motor vehicle registration, a stamped, self-addressed envelope and payment by check to the Cashiering and Permitting Department.
Stamford residents over the age of 62 with vehicles registered in Stamford are eligible for a discounted $7 beach sticker. Present your motor vehicle license as proof of age.
Stamford residents with cars not registered in Stamford must pay $110 for a beach sticker. Non-residents can purchase a beach sticker for $250 that’s valid for weekdays only.
