Stamford Professional Fire Fighters Enable 25 Children to Participate in Spartan Kids Race
The Stamford Professional Fire Fighter Association covered the cost include 25 child residents of Inspirica Family Shelters in the event.

STAMFORD, CT - The Stamford Professional Fire Fighter Association (SPFFA) is supporting 25 local children to compete in the third annual Spartan Kids Race this Saturday and Sunday at Mill River Park in Stamford.
The children are residents of the Inspirica Family Shelters, one of the largest service providers to the homeless in Connecticut and lower Fairfield County.

The Spartan Kids Race offers two challenging 2k and 4k courses where kids make their way through obstacles and hurdles to get to the finish line.
“This is a great way for children to have fun, be competitive and form healthy habits and get on a path to staying active throughout their lives,” said Stamford Professional Fire Fighter Association President Brendan Keatley. “Our fire fighters are proud to sponsor, encourage and support this junior fire fighter team. All of the kids are winners just for competing.

Stamford Professional Fire Fighters will be volunteering their time in support of the event as well.
