Stamford Shooting Puts Bullet Fragments Within Feet Of Kids: Cops

No one was hit by the gunfire, though two rounds flew through the porch wall of a home in the Custer Street area, Stamford police said.

STAMFORD, CT — Shots were fired in the area of Custer Street Thursday evening, causing glass shards, plaster and bullet fragments to almost hit two children, Stamford police said.

Though it appears no one was hit by a bullet, at 6:18 p.m. Thursday patrol officers responded to reports that gunfire had broken out among a group of people congregating midway on the block.

Police said two rounds went through the porch wall of a residential home, which caused glass shards, plaster and bullet fragments to fly into the home and land within a few feet of two young children.
