Stratford Resident Wins Big Lottery Prize

STRATFORD, CT — A Stratford resident is $50,000 richer after purchasing a winning lottery ticket at a local business, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

On Monday, the resident purchased a winning "200X 4th Edition" ticket at 24 7 Express and won $50,000, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

The CT Lottery furnishes winner information as public record.

The CT Lottery has changed its policy on announcing winners by not including the winners' full names on the list in order to protect them from potential scams, according to officials.

As of Oct. 1, 2025, the CT Lottery will no longer publish winners' names without their written consent, according to officials.
