Honoring East Lyme High Athletes and Coaches

The East Lyme Board of Education honored East Lyme High School student athletes and coaches whose outstanding performance in the fall season was recognized by the Eastern Connecticut Conference, All State, All Area, The New London Day, and/or The Norwich Bulletin last night.

Although not everyone could attend because a number of players and coaches were off competing elsewhere, everyone was named. East Lyme High School Principal Michael Susi noted that, although ECC academic standards for high school athletes are high, East Lyme's standards are higher. He also made a point to thank all of the students' families for their continued support.

"All of this would not be possible without the families," he said, noting his appreciation for all who rearrange their schedules to drive students to and from competitions and who turn out to help out to volunteer and cheer.
