Cheers to the Bride and Groom! A Valentine's Day Wedding At The Black Sheep

Patricia MacDonald and James Ferguson of East Lyme tied the knot on Valentine's Day standing in front of the fire at The Black Sheep in Niantic—the same place that he proposed to his love.

Retired East Lyme Police Officer Eric Kwasniewski, who now works as a Justice of the Peace, performed the ceremony in front of the couple's family and friends.

Ferguson's great-niece, four-year-old Rilynn Pollard, tossed rose petals. MacDonald's son Casy Moody, 21, led his mother to the groom and handed Ferguson the ring. 

"It was lovely," said the bride's mother, Beth MacDonald.

Ferguson said he and his bride were most grateful to The Black Sheep for letting them take over the front room for the wedding, which he decorated with balloons and with a giant heart he made for MacDonald last Valentine's Day.

It was the first time The Black Sheep had ever hosted an actual wedding ceremony—although it wasn't the first wedding for either the bride or the groom.  

"The third time's the charm!" said the beaming bride.
