ConnectiCare Participating in Tour de Lyme
Lyme Land Conservation Trust's first cycling event is scheduled for May 10 but there's still time to sign up, either as an individual or as a corporate team.

A press release from the Lyme Land Conservation Trust
Tour de Lyme, a new road and trail cycling event in southeastern Connecticut to benefit the Lyme Land Conservation Trust is being sponsored by locally based health plan ConnectiCare.
The company will be sending a group of cyclists led by their President Michael Wise who is an avid cyclist. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 11th and will offer six different “ride” selections including challenging and family routes for participants. Visit www.tourdelyme.org for more information. The Tour will be signing teams until May 10th at 5pm.
The Tour de Lyme, with ConnectiCare’s help, will present a day of recreational cycling with teams and individuals to support health living. Tour de Lyme is an opportunity for the community to engage in a healthy family activity while enjoying one of Connecticut’s most scenic landscapes.
“With the warm weather finally upon us, we encourage people to take the time to invest in their health and the health of their families by spending time outdoors. As a locally based health company, we aim to support charities that raise the well-being and health of the community,” said Michael Wise, President of ConnectiCare.
Lyme Land Trust President John C. Pritchard shares ConnectiCare’s views on making health and wellness a way of life and said, “Both ConnectiCare and the Lyme Land Trust want to encourage active and healthy lifestyles in our children, we are working with local school and youth groups to promote outdoor and woodland activities, which hopefully will lead to developing lifelong routines and lifestyles of wellness and healthy outdoor activities.”
Proceeds from the fundraising event will be used to support the Land Trust’s operations. The Lyme Land Conservation Trust, a non-profit charity, was founded in 1966 and now manages more than 3,000 acres of preserved open space with 40 miles of trails.
