East Beach At Rocky Neck State Park Closed To Swimming
The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection's water quality report released today says that Rocky Neck State Park beaches are open but the East Beach is closed to swimming.

Ledge Light Health District, which does water testing of local swimming and shellfishing areas, is reporting that based on the results of water sample analysis, the east bathing area of Rocky Neck State Park is closed to swimming.
The closure is in effect as of June 2 until further notice. It's not uncommon for beaches to close following heavy rains. Usually, when tests show that bacteria levels are elevated, the water is resampled and retested the next day. If the results show levels have dropped, the east beach may well be open again by the holiday weekend.
The DEEP's weekly water quality report, which was also released today, indicates that Rocky Neck State Park is otherwise open.
All shellfishing areas in East Lyme and in Waterford are closed as of now.
