East Lyme Police executed a search and seizure warrant of Sergey's Smoke and Niantic Tackle Shop at 170 Flanders Road in Niantic at about 3 p.m. on March 29 and found 686 packets of synthetic marijuana, with street value of $10,290. The search warrant was issued as a result of a two-month long investigation into the illegal sale of synthetic marijuana. Police also seized $1,254.62 in cash in the search. The Statewide Narcotics Task Force Eastern Office assisted the East Lyme Police Department and East Lyme's Resident State Trooper with the execution of the warrant. No arrests have been reported yet as a result of this search and seizure.
