Old Lyme First Selectwoman Bonnie A. Reemsnyder explains that the Board of Selectmen is in support of the feasibility study “because it will provide us with information we need to make fiscally sound and environmentally safe decisions for the residents of our community.”
The Feasibility Study, to be performed by Woodard & Curran of Cheshire, will evaluate the wastewater treatment needs of residential areas along our shoreline. The evaluation will consider wastewater treatment alternatives that comply with current public health code standards and offer long-term protection of public health and the environment. The study will provide a detailed evaluation of potential community system sites and make recommendations for a long-term community wastewater management program.

Information about the Feasibility Study will be posted as it becomes available on the Town of Old Lyme website: www.oldlyme-ct.gov, under Current Projects.
