Accident Report: Car Hits House In Old Lyme
On April 24, 2013, Charles Stern, 85, of Old Lyme was driving down Huntley Road when, according to the police report, he failed to stop at a stop sign and crossed over to Neck Road, where he struck a DOT sign, a stockade fence, and the house at 32 Neck Road before coming to an uncontrolled stop. Stern was transported to Yale/New Haven Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. His car was towed from the scene.

Robert P. Broga, 21, of 44 Cubles Drive, Niantic was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal possession of narcotics. Bond was set at $5,000.
Christopher Whittle, 36, of 229 Blood Street, in Lyme, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal possession of narcotics. Bond was set at $5,000.
According to the police report, State Police from Troop F made motor vehicle stop for a seat belt violation. Further investigation revealed that both Broga and Whittle were in possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. The vehicle, which was driven by Broga, was also found to be unregistered and uninsured. Broga, who was driving the vehicle, was released after posting a $5,000 bond.

Timothy E. O'Rourke, 62, of 113 Shore Drive in Lyme was pulled over by police on Shore Road in Old Lyme for a motor vehicle violation. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle without registration or insurance. He was also charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and/or Drugs. Bond was set at $500.
April 22, 2013
Gregory B. Bohara, 25, of 33 Kelsey Avenue, Old Lyme, turned himself in to police at Troop F on a warrant for violation of probation. Bond was set at $40,000. Bohara was transferred to New London Superior Court and scheduled for arraignment that day.
