Police Blotter: Arrest Reports For East Lyme

Accident Report: Police Investigate Motorcycle Accident

On May 5 at about 10:19 a.m., Timothy R. Steamer of 41 Spring Rock Road in East Lyme was riding his motorcycle northbound in the right lane near exit 73 in East Lyme when another vehicle cut into the same lane. Steamer swerved to avoid a collision, lost control, and ended up on the right shoulder. Steamer was transported to L&M Hospital where he was treated for minor leg and back injuries and released. The vehicle that cut him off continued northbound on 1-95 but witnesses were able to get the license plate. Police are investigating the accident.

Robert M. Cruse, 31, of 41 East Pattagansett Road, Niantic, was charged with criminal mischief in the second degree. According to the police report, Cruse was inebriated and punched out the window of his neighbor's apartment and kicked the front door, damaging the lock. He was arrested at his own apartment but damaged the police car door by kicking it and then injured himself by smashing his head repeatedly into the protective plexi-glass shield in the police car.

Arrest at York Correctional

Gracie Ann Maisonave, 26, of New Haven was arrested on May 8 following an investigation at the York Correctional Institution in Niantic, during which suspected narcotics were discovered. She was charged with illegal possession of narcotics and unauthorized delivery to a correctional facility or inmate. Bond was set at $500.
