Police Blotter: Arrests and Incident Reports for East Lyme and Old Lyme
Police reports for March 21-30, 2013 are provided by State Police Troop E, State Police Troop F, and East Lyme Police Department. An arrest does not signify a conviction.

Break-In Reported in Old Lyme
State Police Troop F are investigating a reported burglary that occurred at 6 Oakridge Drive in Old Lyme on March 25 between the hours of 6:25 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

A person or persons reportedly entered the residence through an unlocked sliding window and took change in coins, wine, prescription drugs, a Kindle and a camera. Police have no suspects at this time but anyone with information should call Troop F at (860) 399-2100.

March 24
Wesley W. Flanders, 20, of 40 Boston Post Road, Unit D, East Lyme was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after his mother reportedly called police and said he had attempted to stab her.
When police arrived at the scene, however, they reportedly learned Flanders had only pointed a small saw at his mother and made no threats of harm. The accused locked himself in his bedroom and refused to come out but police entered the room and made an arrest. He was processed and released on a promise to appear.
March 24
Police in East Lyme pulled over after reportedly seeing a man urinating on the side of Giants Neck Road. Upon further investigation, police learned that the suspect, Christopher Reddy, 31, of 124 Ledge St. Apt. 1R, Providence, RI, had two re-arrest warrants issued for him in Fairfield.
Reddy was charged wth violation of probation. Bond was set at $5,000. According to the police report, the suspect had two children, ages 1 and 2, with him in the vehicle at the time. The children were later released to the custody of their grandparents.
March 23
Another pressing urge to go netted a second arrest in East Lyme. Adam J. Torcia, 39, of 19 Farview Avenue in Old Saybrook was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs after police noticed him allegedly urinating by the side of the road on Gov. John DavisLodge Turnpike in East Lyme. Bond was set at $500.
March 22
East Lyme Police Department and state troopers were dispatched to Dunkin' Donuts parking lot at 255 Main Street, Niantic, to investigate a reported robbery in the parking lot at about 4:30 p.m.
They arrested Sean Rolfe, 25, of 23 Grassy Hill Road in East Lyme and charged him with criminal attempt to commit robbery in the first degree, criminal attempt to commit larceny in the 6th degree, breach of peace, and resisting arrest. Bond was set at $25,000.
According to the police report, police identified the suspect after interviewing several witnesses, then located him attempting to hide on a rooftop adjacent to the business.
March 21
East Lyme Police Department arrested Tyler Jake, 22, of 11 Portland Avenue in Old Lyme and Christopher M. Neal, 20, of 15 Freedom Way U108 in Niantic and charged both with criminal trespass in the 3rd degree, criminal mischief in the second degree, and damage to railroad property in the 2nd degree.
According to the police report, the accused are suspected of defacing Amtrak property by spraypainting an electrical shed near Woodbridge Road in East Lyme. Jake's bond was set at $2,500; Neal's bond was set at $10,000.
