Scott, Woodrow M., 31, of 20 South Pine Street, Niantic, turned himself in to State Police Troop E in Montville on a warrant from 2013. He was charged with failure to appear in the second degree and held on a $100,000 cash/surety bond.

Julie A. Beckham, 40, of 25 Legendary Road, East Lyme, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and with failure to grant right of way. The accused was arrested following an investigation into a motor vehicle accident that occurred just before midnight at 2 Colonial Drive. According to the police report, a motor vehicle rolled and struck a house.

A 17-year-old male was arrested after East Lyme Police reportedly observed a vehicle traveling too fast in the vicinity of Spring Rock Road and Tanglewood Drive in East Lyme that appeared to lose control while cornering. Upon closer investigation, the officer noted an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and with traveling too fast for conditions.
Because the driver had only had his license for seven months and had a passenger in the vehicle, he was also cited for violating a motor vehicle regulation that prohibits newly-licensed drivers from traveling with a passenger.
Gregory Sorensen of 58 Brainard Street, New London, was cited for traveling too fast for conditions after he failed to negotiate a turn in the vicinity of Pennsylvania Avenue and Penncove Road in East Lyme. According to East Lyme Police, the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, striking a street sign that then went under the vehicle and penetrated the oil pan, causing a vehicle oil leak. The car was towed from the scene.

Dianalynn Jean Torres, 48, of 245 Peck Lane in Bristol was arrested on a warrant issued following an investigation by the East Lyme Police Department into the summertime theft of property from a motor vehicle at McCook's Point Park in Niantic. The victim of the theft was a 60-year-old woman from Agawam, Mass.
