Police Blotter: Incident Reports and Arrests for Old Lyme and East Lyme

Police Investigate Vandalism at Mile Creek School
Old Lyme Police are investigating vandalism at Mile Creek School that took place between March 29 and April 1. According to the police report, two window screens were damaged and eight windows were spray painted.
Accident Report: Tractor Trailer v. Bridge
On April 1, a tractor trailer traveling under the Lyme Street 1-95 overpass bridge failed to notice the arch stone construction of the bridge and the top portion of the trailer struck the stone work. The accident damaged the top of the trailer but caused only very minor damage to the bridge. No injuries were reported. The driver was given a written warning for making an improper right turn.
State Police Troop F
On April 1, Natasha L. Simes-Vandersloot, 37, of 188 Mile Creek Road in Old Lyme was arrested and charged with assault in the third degree. Police were dispatched to investigate reports of a domestic disturbance at the home. According to the police report, the police investigation determined that the Simes-Vandersloot allegedly assaulted her husband Peter W. Vandersloot during an argument about the couple's upcoming divorce. Bond was set at $500.
On April 1, police responded to a domestic disturbance reported at 77 Scenic View Drive in Deep River and made two arrests.
- Tyler Clark, 24, of 77 Scenic View Drive, Deep River was charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree. Bond was set at $500.
- Courtney Labriola, 22, of 118 Whippoorwill Road, Old Lyme, was charged with disorderly conduct, assault in the third degree, and interfering with an emergency call. Bond was set at $500.
Shannon L. Langley, 42, of 297 Farmhill Road, Middletown was charged with reckless driving and driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. She was pulled over by police who allegedly clocked her doing 80 mph in a 35 mph zone on Route 161 in East Lyme.
