April 16, 2013
James Douglas, 20, of 22 Crossly Court, Niantic; Tyler Glendenning, 20, of 282 Chesterfield Road, East Lyme, and Sean Connolly, 20, of 301 Buddington Road, Groton were all charged with possession with intent to sell a controlled substance; possession of narcotics; and illegal storage of narcotics. Douglas was also charged with possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle and with carrying a dangerous weapon (an electronic stun gun.) Read the full story.
State Police Troop E
April 15, 2013
State police were called to York Correctional Facility in Niantic in response to an inmate on inmate assault. Marissa L. Palumbo, 21, whose home address is listed as 14 Terry Drive in Danbury, was charged with assault in the third degree. The victim of the assault, a fellow inmate, received medical treatment for cuts on her forehead and various bumps and bruises. Bond was set at $25,000. Palumbo was processed at Troop E and then returned to the housing unit at York Correctional.
April 6, 2013
Police responded to a report of a disturbance at Motel 6, 269 Flanders Road in East Lyme. A records check conducted for the person allegedly creating the disturbance turned up an active warrant for failure to appear in the second degree. Julie A Perry, 34, of 1580 Route 85 in Oakdale was charged with failure to appear and was arrested without incident. Bond was set at $5,000.
