50 MPH Wind Gusts Forecast For Hartford/Tolland County

HARTFORD/TOLLAND/WINDHAM COUNTY, CT — The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory up until 1 p.m. Friday for all of northern Connecticut.

In Hartford County, winds will be 20-30 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph. In Tolland and Windham County, the winds will be 15-25 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph.

"Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result," the weather service said.

There is a "slight chance" of light snow after 4 a.m., according to the weather service, but it's only a 20 percent chance.

The weekend looks largely dry, with temperatures into the mid 30s. It is forecast to be windy on Sunday and Monday with gusts nearing 30 mph.
