Connecticut State Police Endorse Nuccio

EAST HARTFORD – The union representing Connecticut’s State Troopers said they are putting their support behind Representative Tammy Nuccio, State Representative for the 53rd House District.

The Connecticut State Police Union, which represents hundreds of State Troopers, announced it officially endorsed Nuccio, the Republican candidate for the 53rd District. Nuccio is a dedicated public servant and has several past appointments to local boards and commissions, including serving on the Tolland Town Council. Since taking office in 2020, addressing crime and increasing safety in our state are top priorities.

"I am deeply honored to receive the endorsement of the Connecticut State Police
Union for my re-election. Our troopers play a vital role in ensuring the safety and
security of our communities, and I am committed to working with them to enhance public safety and improve working conditions, which can be incredibly dangerous for them,” Rep. Nuccio said. “Together, we can build a stronger, safer Connecticut for everyone. I am truly grateful for their trust and support as we move forward in this critical election."

The Connecticut Police Union aims to provide the “highest-quality law enforcement service possible by engaging with the community, emphasizing the highest degree of cooperation, professionalism and ethical behavior, and creating an atmosphere of safety and security,” according to the Union’s website.

Since launching her re-election campaign, the support for Rep. Nuccio’s campaign has continued to grow – she now has the backing of many organizations and groups, including the Connecticut Chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police, the National Federation of Independent Business, the Connecticut Realtors and is cross-endorsed by the Independent Party of Connecticut.
