Details Released For Tolland Memorial Day Parade
The details have been announced for the 2025 Tolland Memorial Day Parade.

TOLLAND, CT — The details have been announced for the 2025 Tolland Memorial Day Parade.
Organized by the Tolland Permanent Celebration Committee, along with the Tolland Veterans Recognition Commission, the parade is slated for Sunday, May 25, starting at 1 p.m.
Community members can remember and salute those who have died while serving in
the U.S.A military. The national holiday, originally called "Decoration Day," originated
during the Civil War, when citizens would place flowers on the graves of those
who had been killed in battle.

The parade will feature local businesses, community groups, schools, athletic
organizations, floats, antique vehicles, the Connecticut First Company Governor’s Horse Guard, Nathan Hale Ancient Fifes & Drums, the 43rd 169th Regiment Re-enactors, and other participants.
PCC members will distribute free flags for onlookers.

The parade will kick off at the Preschool of the Arts, located at 684 Tolland Stage Road,
and proceed along the Town Green. Following the parade, a wreath laying and
observance ceremony will take place at the Veterans Memorial, located on the south
end of the Tolland Green.
Parade-goers are invited and encouraged to attend the observance, which will include
an invocation, patriotic musical solos, a gun salute by the re-enactors, wreath laying, as
well as a Taps tribute by a Tolland High School bugler.
The Tolland Town Hall rear entrance will be open from noon to 3 p.m. for public viewing of the
Veterans Wall of Honor.
Access to public restrooms will also be available.
Parking will be available at the Town Hall and Tolland Intermediate School lots.
