TOLLAND, CT — Tolland residents woke up Thursday to several flooded roads in town, courtesy of that unwanted guest, Ida. The remnants of the hurricane dropped about 5 inches of rain on the town Wednesday into Thursday.

And that was after that other vagabond — Henri — threw about the same amount of rain at residents 10 days earlier.

One glaring example was Kingsbury Avenue that sits on the town line with Vernon. Water had covered it for most of the overnight period and, even after it subsided, one adult daycare center had to use of pump to get the pond off its property.
