Motorcycle Crash Claims Life Of Tolland Resident
A Tolland resident was killed Monday when his motorcycle collided with a car, state police said.

TOLLAND, CT — A 21-year-old Tolland resident was killed Monday when his motorcycle collided with a car, state police said.
The crash took place at 8:40 p.m. on state Route 195, known locally as Merrow Road, state police said.
According to a crash report, the motorcycle, a 2009 Honda CBR600RR sport bike, was heading north on the 500 block of Merrow Road when a 33-year-old Mansfield man driving a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder turned left while exiting a driveway.

The motorcycle and car collided in the northbound lane and the rider, identified as Tyler West, was thrown from the bike, according to a crash report. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a crash report.
The driver of the Nissan was not hurt, and remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, state police said.
